Overview

As a Software Developer in Test (SDET) you’ll help drive Concora Credit’s Mission to enable customers to Do More with Credit – every single day.

This is a unique opportunity to apply your skills to elevate and shape testing automation across two dynamic teams:

Decision Engine Management Team: Initially, you will enhance and expand upon existing Python-based automated testing frameworks, building on a strong foundation of existing scripts and tools.

Process Automation Team: In partnership with our QA Center of Excellence and leveraging industry standards, you will define and implement testing automation practices from scratch for applications built in Microsoft Power Platform, hosted in an Azure environment.

 

Working closely with members from each team, you will build robust automation test suites and craft effective test solutions that ensure high-quality product delivery. Your success in this role directly translates to success of the entire company.

 

This position is located at our Beaverton, OR office, with a hybrid schedule. We are onsite Monday through Wednesday.

Responsibilities

As our Software Developer in Test (SDET) you will:

  • Enhance and maintain existing Python-based automation scripts and frameworks for regression and integration testing.
  • Build test automation frameworks for Microsoft Power Platform solutions (e.g. Power Apps, Power Automate), including integration with Azure DevOps pipelines.
  • Familiar with analyzing business and functional requirements for completeness and alignment with business goals to build robust test plans
  • Establish best practices and guidelines for test automation of low-code/no-code platforms.
  • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Drive quality within each team, ensuring QA is a focal point.
  • Partner with each team to provide estimates, test status, and risk assessment.
  • Develop, automate, and maintain highly effective test cases.
  • Perform automation testing focusing on the Integration layer (API) and E2E (UI) testing, stubbing and mocking, database validation, regression final build certification, and release day testing.
  • Be a Champion for Customer Obsession culture and deliver products/features that exceed customer expectations.
  • Conduct thorough testing of the product – positive, negative, validation, exploratory, regression.
  • Analyze test results, being a vocal proponent for quality in every phase of the development process.
  • Work with teams to understand product architecture, integrations, and features.
  • Identify software quality risks and anticipate potential software problems at the earliest possible instance.
  • Self-motivated, able to work in a team environment or independently with minimal supervision.
  • Identify and classify defects for review and work with the team to determine the course of action.

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with:
    • Strong Object-Oriented Programming skills - C# (preferred)
    • Selenium, Behavior Driven Development (BDD) frameworks
    • nUnit or Junit
  • Strong proficiency with Python for writing and maintaining test automation scripts
  • Experience designing and implementing test automation frameworks from scratch
  • Knowledge of web services testing via Rest Assured/Postman
  • Should have working experience with Specflow/nUnit/C#/Selenium/Azure DevOps
  • Experience in DevOps and CI/CD related technologies
  • Experience working with Cloud environments - preferably Azure
  • Experience performing results validation via API-based validation, database-level validation, UI-based validation, and mocking and stubbing
  • Ability to rapidly debug and solve problems using application Insights or other observability tools
  • Experience working in an agile environment
  • Knowledge of the complete SDLC and knowledge of test processes, planning, and reporting
  • Demonstrable ability to adapt to change and address challenges with out-of-the-box thinking
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Flexibility and dependability required; certain functions may require some work to be performed after business hours or on weekends.
