Overview

As a Compliance Manager, Card Program, you’ll help drive Concora Credit’s Mission to enable customers to Do More with Credit – every single day.

 

The impact you’ll have at Concora Credit:

You’ll be responsible for managing the general-purpose card account origination compliance program by ensuring compliance with applicable consumer lending laws and regulations. The Compliance Manager is an experienced compliance professional who has a proven track record of managing card regulatory compliance within the financial services industry.

 

This position is located at our Beaverton, OR office and has a hybrid schedule. We’re onsite Monday through Wednesday.

Responsibilities

As our Compliance Manager, you will:

  • Manage the general purpose card compliance program with a focus on credit card marketing, underwriting, product and account feature development, and account acquisition channels.
  • Detect regulatory compliance issues and ensure they are properly documented and escalated.
  • Partner with business line management to identify solutions and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Maintain a strong working knowledge of applicable federal and state laws and regulations, including Fair Lending, Reg Z, Reg B, Reg E, BSA/AML, UDAAP, FCRA, TILA, ECOA, FDCPA, GLBA/Privacy, MLA, SCRA, and other relevant federal and state requirements.
  • Monitor for relevant regulatory updates and compliance trends to identify potential upstream risks and issues. Communicates opportunities to business line management to drive adjustments.
  • Partner with the business line management in developing policies, procedures, processes, standards, and marketing material that meet regulatory requirements.
  • Implement continual optimization to improve efficiency and effectiveness and ensure the program evolves with business growth and regulatory expectations.

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • At least 5 years of professional work in the financial services industry with a strong understanding of credit cards, payments, and consumer lending systems
  • CRCM certification, preferred
  • Strong knowledge of consumer compliance regulations and risk assessments
  • Demonstrated track record of execution and results
  • Ability to problem solve based on strong analytical and technical skills and managing multiple and competing priorities
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent decision-making, problem-solving and judgment skills
  • Ability to effectively interact with all levels of an organization
  • Excellent organizational and prioritization skills.

Essential Functions:

The incumbent must meet work deadlines, have regular attendance, excellent oral and written communication skills, good interpersonal skills, ability to work with a team, ability to multitask, use a PC, and a computer terminal. It requires access to all areas of the office, and the ability to sit for extended periods of time, periodically bending and twisting, and frequent application of a negligible amount of force to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
