Overview

As an Accounting Manager, you’ll help drive Concora Credit’s Mission to enable customers to Do More with Credit – every single day.

 

The impact you’ll have at Concora Credit:

As an important member of the Finance and Accounting Team, you’ll support and advise the Accounting Director and VP, Controller on daily accounting matters and month-end closes. You will play a pivotal role in GAAP financial reporting and oversee internal and external financial audits. The position reports to the VP, Controller.

 

This position is located at our Beaverton, OR office and has a hybrid schedule. We’re onsite Monday through Wednesday.

Responsibilities

As our Accounting Manager, you will:

  • Manage and mentor accountants, including assigning tasks and providing technical guidance.
  • Lead and manage the month-end close process.
  • Prepare and/or review financial reports, including journal entries, monthly financial reporting package, and consolidated financial statements.
  • Assist the Accounting Director and VP, Controller in establishing and implementing accounting policies and procedures and internal controls.
  • Assist with internal and external audits.

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA preferred.
  • 5+ years of accounting experience in either public accounting firms, industry, or a combination of both.
  • Deep mastery of core financial concepts, including US GAAP accounting and financial reporting concepts.
  • Significant experience working closely with external auditors to ensure compliance with reporting.
  • Strong communicator with the ability to interact across all levels of the organization, exercising a high degree of confidentiality, professionalism, poise, tact, and diplomacy.
  • Experience working in financial companies and working with financial modeling is preferred.
  • Demonstrates sound business judgment and acumen in addition to the necessary technical skills. Encourages critical thinking to arrive at good company-wide decisions, manage potential risk, and develop long-term solutions.
