The impact you’ll have at Concora Credit:

The Regulatory Compliance Analyst operates as a key second line of defense position. This role is critical in monitoring departmental processes across the Concora Credit organization to ensure compliance with applicable banking, lending and consumer protection laws and regulations. Responsible for the execution and reporting of risk-based compliance transaction testing for the purpose of independently validating business line adherence to applicable laws and regulations as well as corporate policy and procedures. Participates in other internal audits as assigned.

 

This position is located at our Akron, OH office, with a hybrid schedule. We are onsite Monday through Wednesday.

Responsibilities

As our Regulatory Compliance Analyst, you will:

  • Maintain a working knowledge of laws and regulations affecting our consumer loan business.
  • Perform testing for adherence to business regulatory requirements by examining records, reports, operating practices, observation, and inquiry.
  • Analyze exceptions found in testing, complete a basic root cause analysis, and develop recommendations for identified issues.
  • Prepare high-quality workpapers that meet internal standards and support the conclusions reached.
  • Manage testing schedules by completing all tasks within established timeframes.
  • Assist in the development/revision of test plans, continually validating and improving test design or method to best fit the situation.
  • Work effectively with internal and external clients, and team members. Conduct him/herself in a professional manner.
  • Communicate issues professionally and in a timely manner. Properly validate concerns with clients to ensure no surprises during monitoring engagements.
  • Protect and secure all confidential data and information in his/her possession.

Accountability:

You’ll be accountable for planning and executing internal compliance transaction testing and assisting with internal audits and SOX testing. This involves a detailed understanding of applicable rules, laws, regulations, company procedures, and contractual commitments. The incumbent must possess well-developed analytical skills, be able to communicate complex regulatory requirements to staff of all levels, and effectively recommend operational, control, and/or contractual changes to senior and line management.

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Two or more years’ experience in a consumer lending, financial services, or banking environment preferably in a compliance, audit, quality assurance, or legal department.
  • Well versed in federal banking, lending and Consumer Credit Protection Act laws & regulations or willingness and ability to learn.
  • Must possess extreme attention to detail, strong organizational skills, analytical thinking ability and the ability to work independently or in a team.
  • Intermediate to advanced skills using Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • The incumbent must be able to meet work deadlines, have regular attendance, good oral and written communication skills, a high level of confidentiality, good interpersonal skills, and strong multi-tasking ability.
