The impact you’ll have at Concora Credit:

As a key member of the Finance and Accounting Team, you’ll advise the Chief Accounting Officer on tax planning related to short—and long-term company strategy and manage various taxes, accounting operations, and financial reporting. The VP, Controller will lead corporate tax and GAAP financial reporting and oversee internal and external financial audits. The position reports to the Chief Accounting Officer.

Responsibilities

As our VP, Controller, you will:

  • Manage the annual tax filings and quarterly installments, coordinating with the external tax preparer to ensure timely and accurate annual tax filings and quarterly installments for both federal and states
  • Coordinate with the external tax preparer to ensure accurate income tax provision
  • Manage tax planning, creating a strategic tax plan in conjunction with the CAO
  • Oversee the accounting department, including the month-end close
  • Coordinate and produce the monthly financial package that includes consolidated financial statements
  • Oversee the annual audit
  • Be responsible for maintaining and improving internal financial controls and procedures
  • Understand implications and supply input to support outsourced tax function
  • Cultivate a culture of transparency, integrity, and urgency where we all win together.

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA required
  • 10+years of professional corporate tax and accounting experience
  • Strong understanding of corporate tax and income tax provisions
  • Expertise in local tax regulations and compliance reporting
  • Significant experience working closely with external auditors to ensure compliance with group reporting
  • Strong communicator with the ability to interact across all levels of the organization, exercising a high degree of confidentiality, professionalism, poise, tact and diplomacy
  • Demonstrates sound business judgment and acumen in addition to the necessary technical skills. Encourages critical thinking to arrive at good company-wide decisions, manage potential risk, and develop long-term solutions
