We are looking for a Data Operations Engineer to design, provision, administer, automate, and deploy our Data Platform Infrastructure, Services, and Data Products within our Azure “Spoke”. You will be a cross-functional expert with cloud infrastructure, automation experience, and CI/CD experience. You will have the opportunity to make a business impact by delivering scalable infrastructure and data product pipelines for high-visibility data initiatives and business cases.

Responsibilities

As our Sr. Data Ops Engineer, you will:

  • Design cloud infrastructure that is secure, scalable, and highly available within our Azure Spoke
  • Possess the ability to work with a wide variety of individuals, in a highly collaborative, complex, and ever-changing environment
  • Have proven hands on skill with Azure cloud administration and Azure DevOps pipelines
  • Design and build automation solutions to deploy and scale premium PaaS solutions [Databricks]
  • Design and build deployment solutions, cloud infrastructure to enable Data Products
  • Partner with Data Engineers, Data Scientists, Analysts to achieve business outcomes
  • Partner with external vendors and 3rd parties
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues in development, staging/test, and production environments

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
  • 5+ years in Cloud Infrastructure or DevOps experience
  • 2+ years experience related to Data Platforms or PaaS solutions
  • 2+ years experience enabling CI/CD for Engineering teams
  • Proven hands-on skill with Azure cloud administration and Azure DevOps pipelines.
  • Experience managing infrastructure-through-code, namely: Terraform, Powershell, Bash, Python
  • Ability to design, code and support CI/CD pipelines for Data Products
  • Experience with Data Engineering concepts and challenges
  • Experience with Databricks or other premium PaaS solutions on Cloud Providers
