The impact you’ll have at Concora Credit:

As a Lead Software Engineer on the enterprise platform integrations team, you’ll advance the development and promotion of API standards across Concora Credit. We’re seeking an experienced expert in API standards who will ensure we continue applying best practice design, coding, and security principles to APIs in our Azure ecosystem, supporting internal, customer-facing, and vendor integrations. You’ll also help showcase the enterprise platform integrations team as a center of excellence for API design and development practices.

Responsibilities

As our Lead Software Engineer, you will:

  • Lead efforts to develop and implement API standards and good practices across the organization in partnership with development teams.
  • Develop API standards and practices for interfaces and contracts that support business objectives for both internal and external systems and adhere to enterprise architecture principles and standards.
  • Define the API lifecycle management practice by which APIs are introduced, rolled out to customers, versioned, deprecated, and sunset.
  • Ensure that APIs implement well-defined and consistent standards for authentication, authorization, monitoring, alerting, bot avoidance, and similar protections.
  • Develop and implement designs that ensure robust error handling and maintain observability of integration systems.
  • Collaborate with Enterprise Architecture, Information Security, and cross-functional teams to ensure platform integration solutions align with Enterprise Architecture, Security, and line-of-business-specific development standards.
  • Lead the design of platform integration and systems performance using comprehensive SRE techniques and strategies such as Toil, SLAs, SLIs, and SLOs.
  • Evaluate existing API implementations against business use and security, performance, and maintainability standards.
  • Deliver production code that models the standards and practices you introduce and champion.
  • Help establish a center of excellence for API design and implementation across the IT organization.
  • Mentor and coach developers as they develop all the skills required for integration design and implementation.

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as an Integration Lead, Integration Engineer, Integration Architect, or in a similar role.
  • Advanced knowledge of enterprise integration patterns, best practices in enterprise integration, architectural design patterns, Software Development Life Cycle, and best practices for secured information and data sharing.
  • Strong experience in API development for highly scalable and high-performance systems using REST, GraphQL, and other modern methods.
  • Proficiency in defining and applying security patterns for APIs that support internal and external systems with standards such as OAuth, Zero Trust Architecture, and Microgateway.
  • Expertise in event-driven architectures using tools like Apache Kafka or similar platforms.
  • Proficiency in performance tuning distributed transactions, multiple backend services, and event streaming.
  • Proficiency in API development using Azure technologies such as Function Apps, Logic Apps, and containerization technologies.
  • Proficiency in middleware and various integration systems, with a focus on Azure API Management or similar platforms.
  • Proficiency in C# .NET core software development.
  • Proficiency with cloud-native API design and development.
  • Solid understanding of integration development using gRPC, Web Sockets, SSL, SFTP, or similar technologies.
  • Familiarity with JavaScript front-end software development using React or a similar framework.
