The impact you’ll have at Concora Credit:

We are looking for a Data Production Support Engineer that will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our data production systems. This role involves monitoring data pipelines, troubleshooting issues, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to maintain data integrity and availability.

Responsibilities

As our Sr. Data Ops Engineer, you will be responsible for:

  • Monitoring and Maintenance:
    • Monitor data pipelines and production systems to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
    • Identify and troubleshoot data-related issues, ensuring timely resolution to minimize downtime.
  • Data Quality Assurance:
    • Implement and maintain data quality checks and validation processes to ensure the accuracy and consistency of data.
    • Collaborate with Data Engineers and Analysts to identify and rectify data anomalies or inconsistencies.
  • System Optimization:
    • Work closely with the DevOps and Engineering teams to optimize data processing and storage solutions.
    • Implement improvements and enhancements to enhance system efficiency and scalability.
  • Incident Management:
    • Respond to and resolve production issues in a timely manner, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
    • Document and report on incidents, root causes, and resolution steps to prevent recurrence.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration:
    • Collaborate with Data Scientists, Analysts, and Business Stakeholders to understand data requirements and support data-driven decision-making.
    • Work with the Engineering and Product teams to integrate new data sources and implement new features or enhancements.
  • Documentation and Training:
    • Document system configurations, processes, and best practices to maintain a comprehensive knowledge base.
    • Provide training and support to other team members and stakeholders on data production systems and processes.

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in data engineering, data operations, or a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of data processing concepts, ETL pipelines, and data warehousing.
  • Proficiency in SQL, Python, and scripting languages.
  • Experience with data pipeline orchestration tools (e.g., Apache Airflow, Luigi) and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
