We are looking for a stellar and seasoned Platform Architect to fill in a very strategic role within our Data & Analytics organization to transform our existing BI, analytics and data ecosystem to a future state aligned with our business strategy and enterprise architecture. The ideal candidate will possess a unique blend of strategic thinking, technical excellence, a big-picture vision, and the drive to make our data modernization vision a reality. Responsibilities

As our Data Platform Architect you will:

  • Partner with business and technology stakeholders to drive future state architecture for our enterprise Data & Analytics platform and Data Science solutions
  • Engage face to face with internal customers to understand their technology/business needs and architect top-notch solution design pertaining to data driven solutions and projects
  • Lead or develop proofs of concepts and innovate in solution development with new technology frameworks
  • Engage closely with the tech and data teams and evangelize adoption of standard architectural practices in everyday development work
  • Participate in our company-wide architecture practice. Contribute to enterprise standards and reference implementations. Learn and apply the Concora Credit Architecture Framework Work with architects from other areas and align with VP of Architecture
  • Develop and publish models, catalogs, schemas, glossaries, roadmaps, online collaborative environments, knowledge repositories and other artifacts
  • Operate transparently and collaboratively by regularly publishing work on the company intranet and continually soliciting and responding to feedback from all levels of the organization
  • Lead selection, implementation and integration of data management and analytics tools
  • Provide strategic and technical direction for key vendor relationships, beginning with Databricks and Microsoft
  • Review designs, quality plans, and test results to ensure that business solutions are sufficiently robust, stable, scalable, performant and compliant to meet functional and non-functional requirements
  • Help build Concora Credit enterprise and data architecture capabilities. Establish and lead communities of practice. Mentor other data professionals
  • Work closely with corporate leaders at the Beaverton, Oregon headquarters, with some flexibility to work remotely
  • Participate in an on-call rotation to provide 24/7 support for critical applications.
  • Travel occasionally to other Concora Credit offices, vendor locations, trainings, conferences, etc.

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • 10+ combined years of working on data management, data warehousing and cloud data technologies with SQL, No-SQL or other data solutions
  • 5+ years of architecture and design experience for Data & Analytics solutions involving tools like Snowflake, Informatica / DBT, Spark/ Kafka, Power BI / Tableau, Python/Databricks
  • Deep expertise with designing and implementing large scale data lake / warehouse architectures, and data aggregation techniques
  • Experience architecting end to end solutions with cloud-based BI tools and data warehouses such as Power BI / Tableau / Snowflake / Redshift is a must. Azure data bricks is preferred
  • Experience and depth in data modeling, experience with industry standard data models
  • Hands on experience with: Java, C#, Python or R
  • Experience developing data products from concept to launch
  • Entrepreneurial drive and demonstrated ability to achieve stretch goals in an innovative and fast-paced environment
  • Very strong technical abilities with a grasp on latest technology trends
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with proven ability to quickly absorb technical concepts and effectively communicate them to a non-technical audience
  • Experience in delivering services in a fast-paced agile environment
